Overview

  • The mock election is conducted using LimeSurvey, a secure online survey/voting platform.
  • Each flat / email address gets a unique voting link (token) that can be used only once.
  • The purpose is to help everyone practice online voting before the real elections and build confidence in the process.

🧾 Step 1 – Check Your Email

You will receive an email from the association with a link to the mock election voting page.

The link looks like a normal website link and will open in your browser on mobile or desktop.

🔐 Step 2 – Welcome Page (First Screen)

After you click the link in the email or WhatsApp:

  • You will first see a Welcome / Introduction page similar to the screenshot shared (title: SDMV Elite welfare association – Mock Election).
  • This page explains that each member has a one-time unique token and that the survey is anonymous.
  • At the bottom right you will see a green Next button.

Read the text once and then click Next to start voting.

✅ Step 3 – Voting Pages (Multiple Positions)

Next you will see one or more Voting screens like the “Choose your President Candidate” example:

  • For each position (President, Vice President, etc.) you will see a list of candidate names with round radio buttons.
  • Tap / click the name you want to vote for. You can select only one option per position unless it is clearly mentioned otherwise.
  • Use the Next button at the bottom right to go to the next position, and Previous to go back and change your choice.
  • The three dots at the top right and/or a progress indicator show how many pages are left.

Repeat this for every position shown until you reach the last page.

📝 Step 4 – Agreement Confirmation Page

Before your vote is finally submitted, you will see an Agreement confirmation page:

  • The page contains a declaration that you are voting voluntarily and have understood the process.
  • Below that you will see a single option like “I confirm” with a round radio button.
  • Select I confirm to agree to the declaration.

Once you confirm, click Next or go directly to Submit (depending on how the survey is configured).

📨 Step 5 – Click Submit

On the final page:

  • Check that all pages have been completed without any error messages.
  • Click the green Submit button at the bottom right.
  • You will see a final Thank you / confirmation message that your vote has been recorded.
  • Your unique link is then marked as used and cannot be used again for the same mock election.

If you open the same link again and it shows that the token was already used, it simply means your vote is already submitted.

🔒 Security & Transparency

  • One vote per link: Each unique LimeSurvey token can be used only once.
  • Anonymous results: During result viewing we see totals and counts, not who voted for whom.
  • Audit & export: For transparency, results can be exported and shown live during the demo session.
  • No editing after submit: Once submitted, votes cannot be changed for fairness.

During the live demo & Q&A, we will share the screen and show how:

  • Votes are collected in LimeSurvey.
  • We view and export the results.
  • We ensure no duplicate votes are counted.

📱 Tips for a Smooth Voting Experience

  • Use a stable internet connection (Wi‑Fi or good mobile data).
  • Keep the voting page open in your browser until you see the final “Thank you” or confirmation screen.
  • If something goes wrong (page closed, network issue), contact the election team – they can re-send or reset your link if needed.
